Rescue 3
Wildwater sports have been an essential part of my life for many years. My passion for this sport has turned into a calling. Working as a raft guide, safety kayaker, and canyoning guide has allowed me to explore the world. I have had the opportunity to live and work as a guide on five continents. Therefore, I am particularly proud to be a training provider for Rescue 3 in the Salzburg region. This role allows me to share my experiences as an athlete and guide and to promote the high safety standards in wildwater rescue set by Rescue 3 through courses. It is my mission to make the wildwater sport, which I love and is an important part of our lives, much safer for everyone.
Rescue 3 Europe is globally recognized for its hands-on, practical instruction and proven rescue techniques, making their courses the gold standard in whitewater safety and rescue training.
Whitewater Rescue Technician Foundation (WRT-F) – 1 day ( 6 hours ) 275€
If rescue techniques in whitewater are new to you, whether you are a kayaker or rafter and you want to gain skills and abilities in this field, then this course is exactly the right one for you!
The course aims to teach basic safety and rescue skills required in a moderate whitewater environment, and covers the foundation skills used in all our water safety and rescue courses

Whitewater Rescue Technician Recreational (WRT-REC) – 2 days (12 hours) – €375. The WRT-REC course is for recreational paddlers who wish to have a rescue capability with experience in the whitewater environment.
It doesn't matter if you are out in the whitewater with your friends or in your local club.This course is for anyone with prior experience who now wants to enhance their skills and abilities.
Whitewater professionals (e.g., raft guides, safety kayakers) should take the "Whitewater Rescue Technician – Professional" (WRT-PRO) course.
Whitewater Rescue Technician Professional (WRT-PRO) – 3 days (18 hours) – €470.
The Whitewater Rescue Technician – Professional course is designed for professional river users, eg raft guides, safety kayakers, with existing river experience, to provide you with the necessary skills to perform rescues in whitewater river situations. Recreational paddlers should take the Whitewater Rescue Technician – Recreational (WRT-REC) course.

The meeting point for the Whitewater Rescue Technician course is the Outdoor Center Baumgarten at Baumgarten 1, 83458 Schneizlreuth. The date and time will be announced at a later date.

Confident swimmer with experience in water sports

Course Standard
The course standards serve as a reference before and after the course for individuals involved in conducting Rescue 3 courses (such as Rescue 3 training providers, instructors, and students). They may not be used for other purposes without the express written permission of Rescue 3 Europe.
Accommodation:
You are responsible for your own accommodation during the course. There is the option to book rooms at the Outdoor Center Baumgarten, and we are happy to assist you with this.
Meals:
You are responsible for your own lunch. There is the option to book full or half board at the Outdoor Center Baumgarten, and we are happy to assist you with this.
There are restaurants and several grocery stores within walking distance.
However, we recommend bringing a lunch package and some snacks for the day, especially if you plan to take a lunch break by the river.
What to bring:
Swimming is a significant part of the course, so please come properly equipped with the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
- Good wetsuit or drysuit
- Appropriate footwear
- Whitewater helmet
- Whitewater life jacket/PFD
- Throw bags and knife
If you are missing any items from this list, please inform us in advance so we can arrange replacements.
.Certification:
After successful completion of the course, your WRT-Pro certification will be valid for three years. The office of the Whitewater Training Center Baumgarten and Rescue 3 Europe will keep a record of your certification. You can renew your certification at a discounted price after three years.
The course will be conducted in German and English.
